Well, Duets – ABC's new singing competition starring a slimmed-down Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, John Legend and Jennifer Nettles – arrives just in time (Thursday 8 p.m. ET).
On the premiere episode of the show, the super star foursome will take the stage for a performance of "Let Me Entertain You." Watch a clip above.
But the real business of Duets is to find a new music sensation. The celebrities are setting out in search of the best singing partners, and each week they'll take the stage with their charges to perform in front of a live studio audience. By the end of the competition, one formerly unknown singer will earn recognition and a recording contract with Hollywood Records.
"The simple fact that I get to go out and find two people I believe in, sing with them every week and help them accomplish their dream is an amazing thing I can't wait to be a part of," Clarkson said of her new gig.
As for her new figure, Clarkson, who says she's lost 20 lbs., has her boyfriend Brandon Blackstock to thank for that. "If I'm being completely honest," she said recently, "no one likes to be not toned when you are dating someone."
