While Kim Kardashian has been gallavanting about town with new beau Kanye West, ex Kris Humphries just can't seem to let go, Karsahian's lawyer asserts.
"I feel that (Humphries') personal feelings and maybe some media drive is keeping this case alive," attorney Laura Wasser told an L.A. judge Friday, according to the Associated Press.
The couple, who wed in a lavish ceremony last August, split just 72 days afterward, with Kardashian officially filing for divorce on Oct. 31.
It has therefore, Wasser points out, been more than six months since that initial filing - and the couple is now eligible for a divorce.
Added Wasser: "Certainly, they've been separated longer than they've been married."
A source tells Us Weekly that Humphries, 27, is purposely prolonging the divorce proceedings in order to "get her attention."
"She would grant a divorce in a second," the source divulges to the magazine. "But he won't sign the papers. He won't let go."
Attorneys for Humphries contend that they are still pushing for an annulment and need more time to gather information.
Neither Humphries nor Kardashian, 31, were present in court on Friday.
The reality star, meanwhile, has seemingly moved on rather swiftly, and has been spotted around the city hand-in-hand with her rapper pal.
And West already has the Kardashian clan's stamp of approval, something Humphries didn't quite get.
"Honestly, we've known Kanye forever," sister Khloe told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview last month. "He's been a great family friend. I love Kanye.
"Kris is a good person - it's not that - it's just that I think him and Kim weren't compatible together," she added. "I was the only one to tell her that. "I don't know why no one else told her that! She got mad at me."
