Ronald Fenty told The Mirror: "When I saw the pictures on Twitter I was worried like everyone else."
A few weeks ago, Rihanna tweeted a picture of herself hooked up to a drip in hospital in New York. According to rumours, the star had been out drinking and partying for a ridiculous 61 nights in a row.
Ronald added: "The truth is she was suffering from flu and exhaustion."
The singer's concered Dad flew from Barbados to the US to tell her to take care of herself. "I sat her down and said she needed to take things easy. I told her it was important to chill out a bit, look after herself and not take too much on for a while."
Despite denying she had been unwell, Rihanna did cancel a UK TV appearance to "spend more time with [her] family."
Rihanna is currently gracing the cover of Esquire in her raciest shoot yet, where she revealed that she wanted to watch Cheryl Cole "picking up stuff on the floor. Bending over. She's hot!"
