Victoria Beckham Aiming to Raise 185k for Sandy Victims
Victoria Beckham, Diane von Furstenberg and Anna Wintour are aiming to raise $185,000 to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The trio have put themselves up for auction on website Charitybuzz.com, which has organised an initiative in conjunction with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA) - of which Diane is president - and US Vogue, which is edited by Anna, for those affected by the storm by offering bidders the chance to spend time with them.
Diane said: ''Sandy has hit us hard here at home. It is devastating to see so many friends and neighbours affected.
''As we did for Haiti and Japan, our industry has come together to raise funds with Fashion for Sandy Relief.''
Victoria is offering people the chance to meet her backstage following her New York Fashion Week show in February, which is expected to fetch $20,000, and Diane is auctioning off a week-long stay at her Bahamas beach house, which is valued at $50,000.
Those looking to snap up an exclusive treat can also purchase a lunch date and tour of Diane's Meatpacking headquarters for up to $15,000.
Fans of Anna will be drawn to her two-lot package, which is expected to generate $50,000 apiece.
The first offering will give the winner the chance to meet the magazine editor on a private tour of the 2013 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The other opportunity will give a fanatical fashionista the chance to meet Anna and her team of Vogue editors, have lunch in the Conde Nast café, go on a tour of the publication's offices, and take home a luxury Vogue goody bag filled with treats.
Proceeds from the auction - which ends on December 5, and features nearly 150 lots - will go to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City and similar relief organisations in the tri-state area of Manhattan.
